Design of a fully autonomous UAV embedded system
The PhD proposal concerns the design of a fully autonomous UAV embedded system equipped with RGB, thermal and multi-spectral cameras intended to monitor and inspect industrial infrastructures.
The system has to respond to critical situation and process data in a real-time manner, ensuring a high level of safety and positioning accuracy. The aim of the project is more than just bringing new content to the research community but also providing an innovative tool to be used in real life applications that simplifies and makes inspection processes safer.
