Renato Ferrero

Renato Ferrero is an Associate Professor at the Dipartimento di Automatica e Informatica of Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Here, he received his M.S. degree in Computer Engineering in 2004 and the Ph.D. degree in Computer and Control Engineering in 2012. His research interests concern ubiquitous computing, with a focus on RFID systems and wireless sensor networks. Some recent application fields include smart cities, with the deployment of a sensor network for environmental monitoring, healthcare, with the study of a body area network for gait analysis and fall prevention, and precision farming, with the design of smart systems for monitoring the vital and well-being parameters of crops.
