Carmen Visconte

Carmen Visconte received the MS degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in Applied Mechanics in 2004, both from the Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy. She worked as a post-doc researcher at DIMEAS until 2008. Since 2009 she is assistant professor on Applied Mechanics within the same Department. Her main research interests are the design of fluidic and pneumatic components, supported by numerical and experimental analysis, and the development of experimental methodologies aimed at measuring tribological parameters of elastomeric parts. Recently her interests also include the synthesis of mechanisms to be applied to robotic devices. She is member of the IFToMM Italy.
